It’s my birthday today and I am turning 29. Usually I am super excited about my birthday and I start making plans weeks in advance. Pretty much as soon as new years is over I start working on birthday plans. This year though, I had no interest in celebrating my birthday. I don’t know why but I just really didn’t want to turn 29. Tonight I am going out to dinner with my honey and a couple of our friends but that is about it in terms of celebrating.
Yesterday I went the Franklin Institute and saw the Pompeii Exhibit with some friends, not as a birthday thing, that is just when we were all available to go. It was pretty awesome. I love history and museums are one of my favorite things. Even when you have to pay to get into them. I grew up near D.C. so the museums were always free, I am still getting used to paying for Philly museums. After I got home I read the ebook version of a Creepypasta story called “The Story of Her Holding an Orange” by Milos Bogetic. Have ya’ll heard of him? I have read a few of his stories on the No Sleep Reddit forum and I purchased the ebook from Amazon a while ago but only just got around to reading it.
In theory, the story shouldn’t be as creepy as it is. It really is the story of a chick following him around trying to get him to take an orange. She doesn’t threaten him or anything, she just wants him to take the orange. And yet, I found myself thoroughly creeped out while reading it. Have ya’ll read “The Story of Her Holding an Orange?” What did you think? Were you as creeped out as I was? Have you ever wanted to just ignore your birthday before? Let me know in the comments!
